DESIGN & ILLUSTRATION
I've always loved art and drawing - the joy of creating something beautiful has always been addicting. I grew up drawing all the time, mostly animals, and as I aged, my love for illustration and design stuck around for and integrated into the digital technology of our world. The order and aesthetic of good design is beautiful to me. From corporate PowerPoint slides to personal projects, I hope that my work in design and illustration blesses you.
![]() I created this cover graphic from scratch with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Galactic Tyranny is a short sci-fi/comedy novel (90 pages) that I co-wrote with my cousin. This was a fun project; I had previously created a similar graphic for the book, and it was fun to revisit the idea and perfect it with Photoshop and Illustrator. The photo is not mine. | ![]() This ad infographic I made with Adobe Photoshop. I cannot take credit for the photos or logos, but the design, layout, and copy are my work. The End It Movement is a campaign to end modern-day slavery and human trafficking, which is a more major issue today than at any other time in human history. I had the privilege to be a part of the launch in January 2013. | ![]() I designed and made this poster from scratch on Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as an advertisement for a weekly ministry event that I had the privilege of launching and leading in the Spring 2016 semester. The background picture is a public domain photo. | ![]() I designed this logo for a startup company in the oil industry. The 'S' in the oil drop is illustrated to represent the shale rock slabs. Created on Microsoft PowerPoint. |

![]() I designed this simple digital postcard ad for Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Digital Revolution initiative as part of the comms team. The photo is part of HPE's brand library and the icon is the DigiRev symbol created by colleague. | ![]() This is a freehand pencil drawing copy of Walter J. Wilwerding's Interrupted Drink oil painting. I did this piece between June and July of 2009. This project showed me a lot about lighting in art and composition. Drawing the long grass by starting with the shadows was a new endeavor for me. It won second place at the 2011 SETHSA Convention art competition at HBU. | ![]() This freehand painting copy of the La La Land film promotional posters was my first foray into painting. I did this between December 2017 and January 2018 as a favor for my cousin. My sister collaborated with me, especially on the second matching canvas (not pictured). The dancing characters, city, and general touch-ups on this canvas were my responsibility. | ![]() I made this barn illustration on Adobe Illustrator in the style of HPE brand illustrations as a useful asset to potentially visualize the term "silos." While we did not end up using it, it was a great experience being able to work creatively within a set style. I did not design the tractor and the wheat; those were previously created by the HPE brand team. |
![]() I created this graphic for my international organization within DXC Technology. I served as the administrative coordinator/mobilizer for each of the site leads in the six locations. I remained brand compliant in this graphic, using grayscale photography and DXC approved shapes, colors, and font. | ![]() This was a personal project draft made on Adobe Illustrator. | ![]() I made this collage on Adobe Photoshop for this video series that I created and launched for my organization within HPE. Most of the photographs were taken by myself, including the one spotlighted of two of our IT developers/engineers. |
